Giftware designer celebrates ‘golden quarter’ as Christmas market sales soar
With the festive season fast approaching, Love2dream founder and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce member Jackie Roberts is marking a standout ‘golden quarter’.
Jackie (pictured) has enjoyed great success in the build-up to Christmas – executing a plan that she started to form back in January.
“As a giftware business, my sales are heavily focused on Q4, which typically generates around half of my annual revenue,” Jackie explained.
“I sell through independent shops, Etsy, and my website, but artisan markets are currently my primary route to customers.”
Love2dream’s collections feature hand-drawn illustrations of landmarks across numerous locations, including Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Burton-upon-Trent, Lichfield and Tamworth.
The brand first launched in Lichfield and has steadily expanded across the regions served by GBCC divisions and beyond.
This year, Jackie has showcased her work at markets in Lichfield, Edgbaston, Leamington Spa, and Kenilworth - with plans to reach even more locations in 2026.
Love2dream has seen market sales rise by around 40 per cent this year.
New trading locations have attracted fresh audiences, while a broader product range has delighted loyal customers and newcomers alike.
One of Jackie’s most successful decisions has been expanding into pet-themed illustrations.
She said: “What started as a break from drawing buildings quickly turned into one of my most popular collections.
“The dog designs have been a hit, and they now feature across Christmas cards, prints, coasters, mugs, and more.”
The expanding pets collection has also opened-up a new category of potential retail partners - pet shops.
“As a solopreneur, I can only be in so many places at once,” Jackie said.
“Next year, I’ll be actively seeking additional stockists in new towns and cities so the business can grow sustainably.
“People feel proud of where they live - and they adore their pets - so designs inspired by the things they love continue to appeal.”
As Love2dream heads into the final weeks of the festive season, the brand’s strong Christmas market performance signals even bigger opportunities on the horizon for 2026.
