Hospice joins forces with direct mail company
A Birmingham business is poised to make a significant impact on future marketing and fundraising initiatives for a local hospice through its exciting new charity partnership.
Leading direct mail company Central Mailing Services, based in Erdington, will be supporting Birmingham Hospice throughout 2024 and beyond with monthly donations, a series of team fundraisers and direct mail campaigns.
As the primary provider of adult hospice care in the city and surrounding areas, and with running costs continuing to skyrocket, Birmingham Hospice managers say Central Mailing Services’ pledge has come at just the right time as they look at different ways to raise awareness and support for the vital care they provide to those living with a terminal diagnosis.
Luke Manley, corporate fundraising manager at Birmingham Hospice said: “We are over the moon that Central Mailing Services will help us champion the work we do as a charity.
“It really will make a huge impact in enabling us to share our story and make even more people aware of the critical care we provide to adults and families living with a terminal diagnosis.
“Our expert palliative and end of life treatment spans a variety of complex conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, kidney failure, cancer and many others, and our ever-increasing running costs already total around £16 million a year.
“It’s important we maximise every opportunity to tell people what we do, and we can’t thank Central Mailing Services enough for their support.”
Luke Hickin, managing director at Central Mailing Services added: “Giving back to the local community is very important to us as a business, but we wanted to do more than simply fundraise. We wanted to use our skills, resources and expertise in direct mailing to help a neighbouring charity showcase what they do in the most powerful and positive way.
“Many of our staff have friends and family who have received care through Birmingham Hospice, so it is a very local organisation that is close to all our hearts.
“We will be working closely with the hospice team on every mailing campaign right from concept level, hosting brainstorming meetings on our site so that we can suggest the best print and postage options to maximise their visibility.
“We will also look to offer Payroll Giving, bake-offs, volunteering, collections and sponsorship throughout the year and really do see this as a long-term partnership which has the potential to raise thousands. This is just the beginning.”
