IT recruitment firm raises over £2,000 for children’s hospice
IT firm applause IT completed a trek at Malvern Hills in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust.
The trek was completed las Saturday as part of their May2May challenge to raise funds for locally based Acorns Children's Hospice.
Acorn’s dedicated teams provide specialist palliative care for babies, children and young people, and support for their families. This support is offered from three hospices, based in Worcester, Birmingham and Walsall, and in the community.
Since 2001, Applause have been passionately dedicated to helping remarkable organisations build exceptional technology marketing and sales teams and give back to the community with our charity partners in the West Midlands.
The team completed nine miles across the 7 Hills and a few carried on for a back-to-back double, completing a full 18 miles. They also have reached a total target of £4000.
Speaking about the trek, Mike Scotney from Applause IT said: “We were very proud of all the guys in achieving a fantastic result for Acorns and also meeting their own personal challenges.
“Moving closer toward our charity targets made the sore legs and bruised toes all well worth it!"
