Logistics firm’s members receive top mental health first aid training
Solihull-based freight forwarder Röhlig UK has continued its commitment to mental health by providing expert training for all team members.
In partnership with First Aid Matters, Röhlig held a comprehensive Mental Health First Aid session led by highly-skilled trainer and paramedic, Sue Stickley. The training equipped the participants with vital skills to spot signs of mental health issues in colleagues and offer appropriate support.
Feedback was hugely positive, with an average rating of 5 out of 5. The Röhlig attendees gained practical knowledge in promoting mental wellbeing daily. Suggestions included more detail on specific conditions and handling crises.
This training showcases Röhlig’s dedication to providing a caring, supportive workplace. Employees now feel empowered to discuss mental health openly, provide emotional assistance, and take a proactive role in psychological safety.
Rachael Longley, Röhlig's regional HR manager – North Europe, said: “We are fully committed to prioritising mental health support and creating an open work environment. This top-quality training has given our team the knowledge and confidence to have each other’s backs and continue building a resilient, thriving workplace.”
The Solihull firm’s work on mental health was recently recognised by its receipt of Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Silver Award.
