Marketing agency to help councils deliver ‘smokefree’ project
Leopard Co, the Birmingham-based creative marketing agency, has won a contract to develop and manage a smoking cessation health programme with Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The campaign aims to promote the benefits of going smokefree to people living in Birmingham and Solihull.
Using behavioural science techniques to influence positive behavioural change, the campaign creative focuses on encouraging and empowering smokers to take control of their health by going smokefree.
The main elements of the campaign comprise a series of posters, advertisements and social media assets using images of peoples’ faces lighting up with joy as the result of going smokefree and all the positive health benefits associated with that.
The campaign slogan ‘You’ve got the will, we’ve got the way’, is designed to empower people to believe they can quit smoking.
Central to the campaign is the lightupyourlife.today website, which contains information and links to the support available to Birmingham and Solihull residents to help them in their journey to going smokefree.
The smoking cessation campaign launched at the beginning of February and will run until April.

The contract win follows a series of successful creative projects that the Leopard Co team has delivered for health programmes in the West Midlands, including campaigns for sexual health service, Umbrella.
