New board appointments at Flexeserve
Flexeserve, the hot-holding unit manufacturer, has created a new board of management to support the company's growth strategy.
Made up of appointments made from within the firm, the new board will also look to enhance governance and enable greater agility in responding to market opportunities.
Jamie Joyce (pictured), CEO of Flexeserve, who are patrons of the Transatlantic Chamber, said: “This new Board of Management is an exciting evolution for the governance of the business that will make us even more agile in our response to customer and market opportunities, with significant investment in the US to be announced shortly. ”
Mark Manley, who has been with the business since 2015, has become director of Manufacturing Operations and Richard Birkin is now director of Supply Chain & Operations, having served the business for 20 years.
This announcement comes at a time when Flexeserve - a brand of The Alan Nuttall Partnership and an employee-owned company - is evolving rapidly.
The globally-expanding business has also received the Queen 's Award for Innovation for its flagship product, Flexeserve Zone.
Flexeserve is the exclusive provider of hot-holding services to a growing list of major operators. Circle K, QuikTrip, Pret, Greggs and Amazon have all transformed their food-to-go operations with its hot-holding equipment and expertise.
On the new board, Richard and Mark join technical director Mick Steele and director of Customer Experience Warwick Wakefield in supporting CEO, Jamie Joyce.
Jamie said: “I am extremely proud of both Mark and Richard - their new roles are immensely well-deserved and key to our future growth. These two Partners have been key figures in the transformation of our business.
“We have tripled our production capability, greatly expanding our capacity to serve an industry hungry for hot-holding. ”
“At Flexeserve, we believe strongly in the value of expertise, and the new Board demonstrates that. Our customers will benefit greatly from these appointments as we further utilise the skills and experience that our Partners have accrued over many years. ”
Richard Birkin said: “I 'm delighted with the progress we 're making in strengthening the business. We have developed a global supply chain that is diverse and resilient.
“Relationships are incredibly important to us - we partner with suppliers, making them an extension of our business. This collaborative approach enables us to deliver world-leading products, manufactured with the highest quality components, even as demand and output increase.
“I 'm delighted to move into this new role, which combines the supply chain and operational aspects of the business. This positions us to support Mark 's team and the whole business in our evolving process of continuous improvement. ”
Mark Manley said: “Our manufacturing team has advanced in leaps and bounds. Together, we have crafted an inspiring culture, greatly enhanced our HSEQ function, and developed new processes built on LEAN manufacturing principles with our dedicated production engineering team.
“With Richard and I in our new roles - and the newly created Board of Management - we are well placed to support new markets and pioneer new applications for hot-holding. ”
