President Shaun Gray said: “After several years of considerable change, uncertainty and business upheaval through Brexit, the global pandemic and a war still taking place in eastern Europe, one could say that we might all be feeling a little pessimistic, but I am pleased to say this is not the case.
“I for one am looking forward to a fresh and renewed outlook for our region, with continued growth of the Burton and District Chamber and businesses across our region.
“I was really pleased to read in the latest Quarterly Business Report from the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce that there are also 'growing levels of confidence' amongst firms throughout the area, in the face of a range of 'broader economic challenges'.
All of this is particularly reassuring given the direct challenges businesses are facing on a daily basis.
“If the last two years have taught us anything, it is that we must not underestimate the power of a unified voice and rallying together.
“There is so much we can do over the next 12 months to promote actively and visibly what the region around Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter has to offer as lively and viable commercial districts, whilst strengthening our ties and connection with the rest of the Greater Birmingham region. ”
Richard Brooks said: “A huge thanks to all our members, businesses, organisations, event venues and delegates who have attended our events, utilised our PR newsletters and supported our campaigns, committee and wider Greater Birmingham Chamber activity throughout the last 12 months.
“Without your positive support and input, Burton & District Chamber could not function. On behalf of all the staff across the Greater Birmingham Chambers, please accept a big thanks from us all.
