New coworking space introduced in Solihull to combat isolation
A new coworking community is launching in Solihull to bring together freelancers, business owners, and remote workers who want to work locally alongside others.
Huddle Solihull is being set up to tackle the isolation many professionals feel when working from home, and to create a friendly, supportive environment for both productivity and wellbeing.
Huddle Solihull is designed to offer the sense of community in a low-pressure way, with regular, relaxed coworking sessions hosted in local cafés and community venues.
Their first community working space will take place on Thursday, 3 December in Harry's Bar at the Regency Hotel, Solihull.
Sessions are free to attend. The only ask is that members support the venues by buying a drink or food while they work. This keeps the group accessible to everyone while also supporting local businesses.
The group has been set up by Phil Webb, Solihull-based co-founder of Vu Agency, who wanted to create a simple way for local professionals to meet, work, and support one another.
Phil said: “Solihull has so many talented professionals and business owners working independently.
“This group is about bringing that energy together, to help people feel part of something local and supportive.”
Huddle Solihull will also partner with the Solihull Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber will attend selected sessions to offer extended support, practical guidance and wider networking opportunities for attendees.
Head of Solihull Chamber, Samantha Frampton said: “Huddle Solihull is a fantastic initiative for bringing local professionals together, and we’re delighted to be partnering with them.
“By hosting sessions at Chamber member venues, this initiative not only helps people connect, collaborate, and boost their wellbeing, but also supports our local businesses.
“The Chamber looks forward to helping attendees make meaningful connections and celebrating the talent and energy that Solihull has to offer.”
