Nominations open for ABCC Annual Dinner & Awards charity
Asian Business Chamber of Commerce is urging its members who are registered charities to nominate themselves to be the chosen charity for the ABCC annual dinner & awards ceremony.
Every year the dinner and awards ceremony raises funds for a nominated charity which delivers a tangible impact on communities locally and nationally.
The charity should be a registered charity as well as a member of ABCC.
The event will be taking place at the National Conference Centre on Saturday, 18 November to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of businesses in the Greater Birmingham, Black Country and Coventry & Warwickshire areas.
The event is the biggest occasion on the Asian business calendar and is a must-attend event to celebrate and showcase Asian businesses in Greater Birmingham, presenting an unrivalled opportunity to meet with key leaders and commercial colleagues.
The dinner will include lively entertainment, key host speeches and a lavish awards ceremony. Last year, the nominated charity fundraised an incredible £5,000.
ABCC member charities are invited to apply for consideration to be the 'Nominated Charity ' for the ABCC 's 36th Annual Dinner & Awards 2023. Read more here.
The nominated charity will be chosen on the following criteria:
- The ability to source 8 raffle prizes with the minimum value of £150 each
- To provide a minimum team of four staff to sell raffle tickets at the event
- To provide all equipment needed for the event (cash buckets, card machines, raffle tickets)
Any company donating a prize will have their logo featured in the event programme and also on the presentation screen when the prizes are awarded.
Speaking about the nominated charities, ABCC president Omar Rashid said: “It is always special and rewarding to be able to support an ABCC Charity member at our Annual Dinner & Awards.
“Last year was a great success and we were so pleased guests on the evening where able to support Acorns so generously. We hope the chosen charity for this year can also benefit and encourage charity members to apply. ”
