West Midlands based Summit Learning Trust has welcomed close neighbour Kineton Green Primary School in Solihull to its family of schools and college.

From today, 1 March 2024, the Solihull primary will join Summit’s other four primary schools, three secondary schools and sixth form college, and become part of its thriving learning community, educating over 8,000 local children and young people.

As a Summit school, the Kineton Green community will continue working closely together for the benefit of all their children, young people and the communities they serve. They will benefit from an extensive enrichment programme, which has seen other children in the trust’s primary schools enjoy – amongst other things – visits to the theatre and other cultural attractions such as the National Space Centre and Lunt Roman Fort.

They will also receive additional support from the Trust’s Summit Base Camp offer, ensuring every learner’s basic needs are met whilst being provided with a rich educational experience.

Vince Green, CEO of Summit Learning Trust, said: “On behalf of everyone at Summit Learning Trust, I am delighted to welcome the children, parents, carers, staff members and governors of Kineton Green Primary School to our Summit family. As we continue to get to know one another over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to them seeing we are a trust which is relentless in its ambition for all the children and young people in our care, and that we strive to give all learners as many life choices as possible. Rated Ofsted ‘GOOD’, in common with all other Summit academies, I know Kineton Green shares this ethos and I believe it will be a great fit and excellent new member of our Summit family.”

Terri Mason, headteacher at Kineton Green Primary School, said: “This is an exciting time in the journey of Kineton Green Primary and I am looking forward to what the future will bring for our families as part of Summit Learning Trust.”
