SF Recruitment has been recognised for its strong workplace culture with nominations in three categories at the Working Families Best Practice Awards.

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce patron is a finalist in the Best for Flexible Working, Best for Flexible Recruitment and Best Small Employer categories.

The awards celebrate employers whose stand-out cultures and working practices are leading the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces.

Now in their 13th year, Working Families ' Best Practice Awards, showcase and celebrate employers who are offering flexibility for all their people and going above and beyond in their support for parents and carers.

SF Recruitment has been recognised because of its fully-flexible agile working policy, industry leading adoption, maternity and paternity policy and its levelled gender pay gap.

Saira Demmer (pictured), CEO at SF Recruitment, said: “We are strong believers in the power of personal autonomy to drive happiness at work and this is why flexibility has become a core component of our business model.

“For us flexibility isn 't just about working hours, although they are important. It 's about having the freedom to make your own decisions and to adapt the way you work when you need to. Its knowing that the business is prepared to flex for you not just the other way around.

“It 's been hugely successful for us, boosting staff productivity and improving retention. We 've even seen our gender pay gap tilt slightly in favour of women this year as its giving working parents an easier route to success. ”

Jane van Zyl, chief executive of Working Families, said: “We're thrilled to have had so many impressive entries to select from this year.

“A massive congratulations to our finalists, who come from across the board but who are all leading the way in creating supportive working cultures and showing what successful flexible working can look like. ”

“It's so encouraging that, as we emerge from the pandemic, so many employers are responding to the evidence that flexibility doesn't just work, it can work better.

“Our remarkable finalists are helping to highlight the benefits of family-friendly policies and cultures for everyone.

“They have found solutions that work both for the employees and the business, and are reaping the rewards of a more productive, more engaged workforce. ”

The winners will be announced at an awards event at Vintner 's Hall on 8 June, with the official event partner Bright Horizons Work+Family Solutions.
