The Serco Restart Scheme has integrated advanced AI technology from Content Guru to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of job coaches.

This integration includes the deployment of the ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ platform, powered by the generative AI system ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป and featuring the ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ RTAS (Realtime Transcription and Summarisation) module, revolutionising the way job coaches interact with participants.

Traditionally, job coaches faced the task of juggling notetaking while engaging in meaningful conversations with participants.

The adoption of Content Guru’s AI tools has now enabled participants to delve into deeper, more meaningful discussions without the disruptions of constant notetaking.

This shift has allowed job coaches to focus more on understanding the unique needs and aspirations of each participant.

A job coach at the scheme said: "I have found that using AI has allowed me to be in a more friendly position when talking to the participant and that I am no longer frantically typing.

“I have more time to dive in and ask more questions about the participants, allowing me to paint a bigger picture of their barriers and how I can assist them with these."

The Restart Scheme has also harnessed AI to streamline the CV writing process, significantly boosting the productivity of job coaches.

In one instance, a participant said: "Before the Restart Scheme, I was asking someone to help me write a CV for 6 months.

“You were able to create me a CV on my first appointment, and it felt like it took a few minutes because we were just having a conversation."

The impact of AI on the administrative duties of job coaches has been profound, with a 74 per cent reduction in time spent typing up case notes and 50 per cent increase in actions taken, elevating the average from 1.9 actions per plan to 2.7.

The quality of case notes has also seen an 18 per cent improvement over manual input.

The tools have proven particularly beneficial for colleagues with additional needs, such as dyslexia or brain injuries, enhancing inclusivity.

Dion Edwards (pictured), an employment advisor as Serco said: “I have dyslexia, so I used to really struggle with typing and focussing on the conversation at the same time.

“With AI assistance I’m able to actually engage in the conversation, and my meetings are much more meaningful. It’s been a major help tome.”

A Serco Capability Lead highlighted the impact of these technologies: "The implementation of the ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ system has significantly enhanced productivity and performance among our coaches and their participants on the Serco Restart Scheme.

“By proactively leveraging AI technology, our coaches are delivering personalised, bespoke support."
