Solihull Chamber of Commerce is seeking individuals who are passionate about the local business community to join its executive council.

The council provides the Chamber with valuable feedback, which influences its strategy and business plan.

It also provides representatives to other groups and committees in Solihull, Birmingham and the West Midlands and is a forum to ensure that the voice of Solihull business is heard locally and regionally.

The successful candidates will be announced during Solihull Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 26 March at Cranmore Park. The event is free to attend.

There are two vacancies for vice president and four vacancies for a place in the executive committee.

Members wishing to be considered for election for the positions must complete and sign the nomination form and must obtain a signature of a proposer and seconder.

Candidates are also required to submit a personal profile of no more than 200 words together with their nomination paper. This profile will be used in the event of an online ballot.

Nominations are only open to members of the Solihull Chamber. Members are also encouraged to nominate others.

If nominations do not exceed the number of vacancies, the positions will automatically be filled.

If there are more candidates than vacancies, an online ballot will take place in advance of the AGM in accordance with the constitution, of which the outcome will be announced at the annual meeting.
