Solihull copywriting business announced as sponsor for local fundraiser
Solihull-based business Perception Copywriting has partnered with a local walking group to raise funds for a national Community Interest Company.
The agency has been announced as one of the sponsors for an upcoming fundraising event for Men Walking and Talking (MWAT).
MWAT is completely self-funded and relies on donations to raise awareness of men’s mental health and tackle common issues such as anxiety, loneliness, and depression. They run weekly walks, online sessions, and one-off events to help men look after their wellbeing, socialise, and share problems they want to talk about.
On Saturday, 29 November, members of the Solihull MWAT group will take on an all-day endurance challenge to raise money for the wider organisation. Participants will complete eight varied laps around Solihull over eight hours. Those going the full distance will cover the equivalent of a marathon. Together, they aim to reach 1,000 kilometres and raise £5,000.
The event is the brainchild of MWAT Solihull group leader, Danny Smith, and he said: “The philosophy ‘perception is everything, clarity is key’ resonates with our mission in Men Walking and Talking: to strip away unnecessary noise, speak honestly about men’s mental health, and connect through movement and conversation.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to have Perception Copywriting in our corner as we gear up for the challenge. Their support means we can amplify our message, reach more people, and make an even greater impact.”
Richard Newell, Perception Copywriting founder, added: “I've seen first-hand the positive impact this group has made. Danny has done an excellent job setting up and raising its profile throughout Solihull and the neighbouring regions over the past 12 months. This event takes things a step further.
“But a lot of people don’t realise that this is just one of 45 groups across 21 counties. They’ve provided a safe space for connection, supporting men's mental health and inspiring local communities throughout the country. I’m proud that Perception Copywriting is playing a part in this and thank Danny for the opportunity to do so.”
Dan Reid, MWAT founder, said: “If our support system stops, the isolation wins. Fundraising is the fuel that transforms our passion into consistent, nationwide reliability. It’s what guarantees that a walk is waiting for every man, every week, without fail. We are so grateful for the local businesses and communities that support us.”
