Specialist apprenticeship provider expands West Midlands presence

Davies, a specialist professional services and technology business, serving insurance and highly regulated markets, has announced that it has joined the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Chambers of Commerce as it continues to expand its reach across the UK and connect with businesses on a regional level.

Local businesses operating in highly regulated sectors will now have greater access to Davies’ team of experts and its capabilities to source, develop and deploy talent, in a bid to plug the skills gap within the insurance and financial services industries. 

The move, which will cement the firm’s presence in the West Midlands, follows the recent announcement that Davies has taken on responsibility for the training and support of over 200 apprenticeships from Birmingham-based Babington Business College Limited (“Babington”) which confirmed its exit from delivering financial services apprenticeship standards earlier this year.

In September 2023, over 200 apprentices across a range of insurance and financial services firms were told they were able to transfer and complete their programmes from Babington to Davies and join over 1,800 learners already completing similar apprenticeships with the firm. Davies is one of the largest providers of apprenticeships for the insurance and financial services industries in the UK.
