A talented graphics student at Halesowen College has shown her creative flair by designing the winning Christmas card.

Ella Wrigley (pictured) joined her class to put forward designs for the College’s Christmas card for 2023 – and her entry was chosen as the winner.

The 16-year-old created an idea which showed a present bursting open, spilling colourful confetti and showing the College’s values. She then worked closely with her tutors to develop the idea into the final digital design.

Emma Stevens, Level Three Graphics Course leader at Halesowen College, said: “

This collaboration highlights the supportive learning environment at Halesowen College, where students' ideas are valued and nurtured into professional-looking outcomes.

“The card, a blend of Ella's creativity and her tutors' expertise, received high praise from the judges, including the Principal Jacquie Carman. Congratulations to Ella.”

Ella lives in Halesowen and is a former pupil of Windsor High School.
