Sutton firms urged to find out about grants and support
Businesses in Sutton Coldfield are being encouraged to find out more about grants and support available to them by attending a forthcoming Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce event.
The Business at Breakfast event on Tuesday 17 October (7.30am to 9.30am) will feature guest speakers from Business Growth West Midlands, West Midlands Combined Authority’s Thrive at Work and the government-backed Innovate UK Edge initiative, all sharing information and insight on the support available to firms.
And Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber president Naeem Arif believes many member businesses could benefit.
Mr Arif (pictured), director of United Carpets, said: “Many businesses in Sutton Coldfield have experience of benefiting directly from support provided by various organisations and as president of our Chamber it’d be fantastic to welcome many of our members who perhaps haven’t in the past to hear more about what is on offer across an everchanging funding landscape.
“We are encouraging our members to also take the information and share with their own networks not only locally but across Greater Birmingham.”
Chamber vice-president Kate Curry, managing director of Cudos Creative, who recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, said; “As a business we have benefited over the years from engaging with support programmes, especially to support recruitment of younger staff members and apprenticeships. But the key as always is to know about the support on offer at the right time.”
Delegates can attend the event, taking place at the Lichfield Road campus of Birmingham Metropolitan College from 7.30am on Tuesday 17 October, and speak to Avalon Adjei-Maison, innovation and growth specialist, Innovate UK EDGE, Charlotte Bowden, account manager, Business Growth West Midlands and Mitzi Donovan, Thrive at Work coordinator, West Midlands Combined Authority, as well as networking with fellow businesses.
