Time running out to apply for digital marketing short course
University College Birmingham (UCB) is offering employers a unique opportunity to upskill their workforce through a free, degree-level professional short course in Digital Marketing – with the deadline set for Friday, 5 September.
Designed with input from industry professionals, the 12-week programme provides participants with a strong foundation in current digital marketing practices, from building creative campaigns to analysing performance and measuring results.
The course combines academic knowledge with real-world application and includes two 20-credit, Level 4 modules from UCB’s Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) in Digital Marketing.
Martin Taylor, business development manager at University College Birmingham, said: “Investing in your team’s digital capabilities not only boosts productivity and innovation but also helps future-proof your business.
“Our Introduction to Digital Marketing course, launching this September, is government-funded – so there’s no cost to employers or employees other than their time.
“Places are limited, so we’re encouraging businesses to act quickly.”
The course runs every Thursday from 9am – 4pm at UCB’s Birmingham city centre campus, starting 18 September and finishing on 11 December 2025 (with a reading week included).
UCB’s central location means the campus is just a short walk from New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street stations, as well as the Victoria Square Metro stop.
UK residents aged 19 to 60 with GCSE passes in English and Maths (grade C or 4 and above) can apply for this free course.
The application deadline is Friday, 5 September.
Employers can learn more or register their interest by contacting Martin Taylor at [email protected], while employees can apply directly via the UCB website.
