Virtual event to be hosted for Staffordshire jobseekers

Businesses and public sector organisations will be hosting a virtual jobs fair for Staffordshire residents.

Hosted by the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the event will take place via social media channels on 14 January from 11am.

The event is being co-hosted by the Department for Work and Pensions and People Plus.

This inaugural jobs fair will focus on promoting job opportunities, training and associated help, advice and support to encourage local people into the construction and health and care sectors as the main growth sectors in our area.

Businesses and organisations in construction and health and care, and training providers will post their job opportunities online, anticipated to be seen by thousands of potential applicants.

Firms which wish to post their own job vacancies can post details via Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn using the hashtags #StokeStaffsJobsFair and #Openforwork.

The event will also feature live Q&A sessions on CVs and interviews.
