Workshops help firms explore equity, diversity and inclusion
The Leadership Coaches have been earning positive reviews nationwide for their equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging training workshops.
In a recent evaluation of an EDI course which The Leadership Coaches have been running for over three years, participants rated it as providing 93 per cent satisfaction and 91 per cent impact.
The course facilitator brings significant lived experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), to life in a two-day workshop.
In addition to the impressive ratings, feedback from participants include:
- “This is one of the best sessions I’ve been on for quite some time. Super impressed by the session.”
- “I really enjoyed the pace, the contracting, the space for reflection and practice. The weighting towards practice was excellent.”
On the delivery of a recent course, director of coaching and learning Ian White said: “We had a hugely worthwhile time exploring EDI.
“We carefully agreed on how we would work together since many of the things we covered, such as intersectionality, inclusive language, allyship and unconscious bias, could make us feel uncomfortable and are lived experiences for many people, often accompanied by trauma.
“We also discussed how equity and equality are different and how having equity rather than equality brings about change.
“On the second day, we had two amazing actors with us, who performed scenarios and then received feedback from participants in response.
“This brought the issues and concerns around EDI to life and allowed people to consider things from a different point of view, with scenarios played out in different ways.
“Owing to the success of this course, there are now three more courses in place over the next three months.”
