YMCA Burton appoints senior development manager
YMCA Burton has appointed Catherine Miles as their senior development manager, following a successful role as chief executive of SARAC, another local Burton on Trent charity.
Catherine, who started her new role at the beginning of May, has 22 years of experience working in the charity sector and will work alongside chief executive Paul Laffey.
Catherine spoke of her move to YMCA Burton, and said: “I’m thrilled to be joining a charity that has a 180-year history of serving young people and our wider community.
“I will look to develop an already strong partnership with many stakeholders and supporters.
“I look forward to continuing our collaboration on significant developments within the YMCA, on a local, regional and national level.
Chief Executive, Paul Laffey added: “We are delighted to have Catherine Miles join our management team, to develop our strategy, services and programmes for our diverse community.
“Catherine brings with her a wealth of expertise, knowledge and experience in our field and understands the needs of our town and the surrounding areas.
“Catherine’s skills and values align with those of the Charity and I am looking forward to working with her on the continued success of YMCA Burton and our wider community work.”
YMCA Burton works effectively to make a transformational impact in our community through a range of services, including housing, family mediation, counselling, foodbank and furniture stores.
