Showcasing our hidden gems
Brumbassadors is a platform for amplifying good news and opportunities across business, culture and sport in our city; the magic ingredients that make Birmingham a great place to live, work and invest.
Our Brumbassadors Behind The Scenes series shines a light on organisations that do something really special in our city, from charitable and community work, to developing artistic talent, or innovating for local and global impact.
Join us at Ikon Gallery for an inspiring morning exploring how one of Birmingham's most celebrated cultural institutions uses contemporary art to engage communities, empower change and create opportunities for people across the region.
Ikon is the flagship contemporary art gallery in the West Midlands and an educational charity that offers free art for everyone. Each year, Ikon engages approximately 200,000 people through its programmes, including more than 6,000 school children and young people. Through exhibitions, education projects, digital initiatives and community partnerships, Ikon brings artists and audiences together to improve health and wellbeing, support young people and contribute to a more equitable society.
As part of this event, you will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on ceramics workshop in the 'Break the Mould' studio, experiencing first-hand how creativity can cultivate connection, learning and collaboration.
