Women Entrepreneur Pitch Competition
According to The Gender Index, just 3.29% of West Midlands-based female-led companies have attracted angel investment in the West Midlands in 2025 so far, down from 7% in 2024 (at 1 July 2025). This is despite the fact that the West Midlands has the highest proportion of female-led companies in the UK.
The Women Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition aims to promote high potential women led businesses in the region and create a platform for women entrepreneurs to build their investor networks, hone their pitching skills and develop their knowledge of how to attract investment.
Applications to take part in this year’s event will open in summer 2026. Register your interest in applying, below, and we will notify you when this event goes live.
In the meantime, you may wish to join our celebratory launch event taking place on Tuesday 17 March, in collaboration with the British Business Bank and NatWest - join us for Empower to Elevate, where we will hear from past WEPC participants and launch the schedule for our 2026 competition.
It will see up to five high growth potential women led businesses pitch live to a panel of leading investors. At the end of the evening, just one business will be selected as the judges “one to watch” and winner of the competition.
To qualify to pitch to the panel, businesses must be female founded or co-founded, based in the West Midlands and demonstrate clear growth potential.
Please note: In order to apply you will need to log in or register for a free GBCC account. If you are a member, please ensure that you include your company membership number when creating an account. If you are not a GBCC member leave the membership number field blank. You do not need to be a GBCC member to apply.
Shortlisted applicants will receive a one-to-one briefing with a trained advisor to review and refine their pitch before taking part in the competition.
