Showcasing our hidden gems

Brumbassadors is a platform for amplifying good news and opportunities across business, culture and sport in our city; the magic ingredients that make Birmingham a great place to live, work and invest.

Our Brumbassadors Behind The Scenes series shines a light on organisations that do something really special in our city, from charitable and community work, to developing artistic talent, or innovating for local and global impact.

Join us at Queen Alexandra Charity for an inspiring morning exploring how one key Birmingham charity supports young adults with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and sight loss to achieve their ambitions and live fulfilling lives.

Queen Alexandra Charity, previously known as Queen Alexandra College, supports over 500 young adults with learning difficulties and disability each year through education, supported living and community services. Their mission is to empower young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their ambitions and live fulfilling lives. Their primary aim is to develop the skills of all students and clients to the full, enabling them to live and work as independently as possible. Young people with disabilities are supported to become the best version of themselves.

As part of this event, you will be served refreshments by hospitality students, and have the opportunity to take part in accessible sports taster sessions led by sports students.
