Birmingham has faced its share of tough headlines in recent years. Yet beneath the noise is one of Europe's youngest, most diverse and entrepreneurial cities, powered by ambitious businesses, world-class cultural institutions and a thriving sporting scene.

Brumbassadors exists to champion that story.

Delivered by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce in partnership with Birmingham City Football Club, Brumbassadors brings together business leaders who are passionate about Birmingham's future and committed to championing the opportunities that make this region a great place to live, work, invest and grow.

To mark International Day of Birmingham (IDOB), join us for a special edition exploring what makes Birmingham stand out, not just nationally, but globally, and how business can help shape the city's next chapter. Brumbassadors is taking place on Tuesday 15th September.

What is a Brumbassador?

A Brumbassador is someone who actively champions Birmingham, its people, its opportunities and its future.

This exclusive GBCC member event brings together leaders from across business, culture and sport who share a common ambition: to build confidence in Birmingham and amplify the positive stories that deserve to be heard.

Why attend?

✔️Build meaningful connections with organisations and decision-makers shaping Birmingham's future

About International Day of Birmingham

International Day of Birmingham (IDOB) is an annual celebration of Birmingham, UK, and its namesakes around the world. Returning for its third year on Thursday 24 September 2026, it has grown from a fun idea featured in Joe Lycett's United States of Birmingham into a celebration of Birmingham's identity, achievements and international connections.
