I would like to be part of the committee to help shape and grow a network that plays a vital role in developing and recognising young professionals across Greater Birmingham. Having been actively involved as a member and after receiving the Ambassador Award last year, I have seen first-hand the impact Future Faces has in building confidence, creating opportunities and supporting the retention of regional talent. Within my own organisation, I regularly coordinate and promote Future Faces by encouraging colleagues to attend events and acting as a point of contact for those interested in getting involved. I would like to extend this further by promoting the network to a broader audience, using the professional connections I have built and my communication and people-focused skills.

I would like to be on the committee because I bring strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills developed through my experience as an event manager. I’m accustomed to planning and delivering events from concept to completion, managing multiple stakeholders, working to tight deadlines, and adapting quickly when plans change.

I’m proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable taking responsibility, while also valuing collaboration and teamwork. I enjoy contributing ideas, supporting others, and helping turn strategic objectives into well-executed events and initiatives.

Most importantly, I want to give back to such a great initiative allowing me to use my experience to add practical value, help deliver engaging and well-run activities, and contribute positively to its growth.

I’m keen to join because I bring a blend of professional competence and strong interpersonal skills that I believe can add value.  Besides from tax/accounts, my strengths lie in building relationships, connecting with people, and creating environments where others feel comfortable and included. I know first-hand how important it is for young professionals who aren’t locals to feel part of the city’s

professional community, and I want to help make everyone feels supported.  I’m particularly passionate about creating spaces where people from all backgrounds feel represented, as someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m aware of how meaningful it is to see diversity reflected in professional networks, and I'd love to be part of a group that champions inclusivity, which I feel FF does!!

One of the key qualities I offer is a fresh perspective. I am keen to contribute new ideas to the network that allow members to get the most out of existing events and help to develop new opportunities. FF already hosts many great events, and I would try to ensure they remain as relevant, engaging and beneficial as possible for members.

I would also like to encourage new members to join and try and welcome them into the network, especially from different industries / sectors. I have gained lots since joining 2024 and been able to widen my own professional network. I was mentored through the FF mentoring scheme and later became a mentor of an Arden University student through the network. It would be great for more young professionals in the city to have access to these benefits!

I am passionate about lifting others up and celebrating talent across Greater Birmingham. As the 2025 GBYPY winner, I would love to inspire the network to advocate for themselves and attract incredible opportunities into their lives. After hosting the vision board event in January, I am keen to organise more events that create a space for young professionals to intentionally dream big, feel empowered to achieve their goals and connect with other like-minded ambitious people. I will bring a fresh perspective, a commitment to inclusivity and a determination to make my mark in a way that sparks real, lasting impact. I would also love to organise more events with a wellness focus to empower young professionals to make their health a priority - it's the key to success!

I want to support the development of young professionals and help make career opportunities genuinely accessible, regardless of background. As a first-generation lawyer from Stoke-on-Trent, I did not grow up with professional networks or a clear roadmap into my career. I understand how crucial visibility, guidance, and supportive networks are for building confidence and recognising potential. Since joining FF, my

confidence and social skills both personally and professionally have soared. I want to contribute to shaping these experiences for others and help ensure that young professionals feel they belong and can be their authentic selves. I would bring strong communication, organisation, and collaboration skills to the committee and a strong commitment to social mobility and inclusivity.

I would love to be on the Future Faces committee because I really enjoy collaborating with others to create meaningful and engaging activities for young people. Being part of Future Faces makes me so proud, and I feel joining the committee, would be a natural step up and would allow me to champion FF and support new and existing members.  I am excited to get involved in the working groups, particularly the BYPY Awards group, which I feel aligns with my organisation and project management strengths. I am also looking forward to developing my leadership skills whilst on committee and want to be part of shaping the same inclusive community that welcomed me with open arms.

I’m passionate about supporting young professionals across Greater Birmingham and helping them feel confident, welcomed and connected from the moment they join Future Faces. I want to help create inclusive spaces where members feel comfortable attending events, even alone, and encouraged to grow their networks.

I have contributed actively to professional communities, including serving as Secretary of BCASS. I’ve helped lead BCASS, representing over 1,000 ACA trainees, delivering a varied events programme and driving increased engagement across firms. My experience organising everything from small networking sessions to the 600 person BCASS Ball has strengthened my organisational skills and ability to bring people together.
