The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) is one of the UK's largest and most influential Chambers of Commerce, connecting businesses, championing growth and helping our region thrive.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, relationship-driven professional to lead the day-to-day delivery of two of our most dynamic membership communities: Future Faces, our award-winning network for young professionals, and the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), which champions one of the region's most significant and impactful business communities.

As a fixed term, maternity cover position, the primary focus of this role is continuity of the member experience and member retention.

What You'll Be Doing
As Business Communities Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of Future Faces and the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce, following the agreed delivery plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, committee members, sponsors, patrons and partners.
- Work closely with divisional committees to deliver agreed priorities and initiatives.
- Coordinate and deliver a varied programme of events, networking opportunities and engagement activity, with support from the GBCC events team.
- Support membership growth, retention and engagement across both divisions.
- Support patron and sponsorship relationships, including renewal conversations where required.
- Coordinate divisional communications and work with marketing and media colleagues to promote events, initiatives and member success stories.
- Work closely with colleagues across the GBCC events, media and membership teams on delivery of activity.
- Represent the Chamber at events and within the wider business community.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with a genuine passion for relationship-building.
You'll be confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from young professionals at the start of their careers to senior executives leading major organisations.
You may currently work in membership, stakeholder engagement, events, account management, client services, commercial partnerships or a related field.
You'll bring:
- Experience of membership, stakeholder, client or account management.
- Experience delivering events, networking activities or member programmes.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management capability.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- An interest in creating digital content.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.
