Shortlist announced for Asian Business Awards

The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has revealed the shortlist for its annual awards celebration taking place next month.
The digital awards ceremony will recognise the remarkable achievements of businesses and professionals over the past 12 months and will be streamed live on 18 November from 7pm.
The awards will be headline sponsored by Aston University, Doug Wright (T/A McDonald’s), Lioncroft and Inspired Energy.
This year’s applications were judged by Jabbar G. Khan, founder and director of Lasan Group, Monica Shafaq, chief executive of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, Amer Khan Awan, director of Awan International and Suzanne Virdee, broadcast journalist at ITV News.
Mandy Haque, the Chamber’s international development director and chair of the judges, said: “We saw a diverse range of applications for the ABCC Awards and they were at a very high standard. There were some very inspirational submissions and the judges have had a challenging time judging each category.
“This year it was encouraging to see that despite the challenges of the pandemic many businesses looked towards the opportunity to repurpose and be involved in community engagement. I am looking forward to seeing the results delivered on 18 November.”
