Touchwood is sponsoring Transformation In Action CIC to raise awareness around the impacts of menopause for Menopause Awareness Month.

With this year 's theme for Menopause Awareness Month focusing on cognition and mood, Touchwood will be hosting two free events in the centre to support women and other genders affected by menopause in the local community.

Transformation In Action CIC (TIA CIC) is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by Aline Boblin to help and empower people during menopause.

The first event 'Menopause and Employment ' will be held at Touchwood on Thursday 13 October at 3pm.

This two-hour, free workshop will raise awareness of the challenges of the menopause at work and potential business impacts.

It will provide practical advice on how to implement inclusive practices in the workplace to support colleagues affected by menopause.

The second, free event at Touchwood. Menopause Awareness Day, takes place on Sunday 16 October from 10am to 4.30pm.

Open to all genders and to partners of people affected by menopause, this insightful event offers a day packed with useful information and key guest speakers, focusing on Perimenopause and Menopause, holistic strategies to address impacts, removing barriers to lifestyle changes and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “It 's so important for Touchwood to get involved with wellbeing events such as Menopause Awareness Month to help provide support to employers, organisations and visitors and raise awareness around the impact of the menopause.

“We are looking forward to hosting a wide range of guest speakers throughout October and hope that both free events will provide helpful information and support to those that need it. ”

Aline Boblin (pictured), founder of TIA CIC, added: “Menopause symptoms can have a huge impact on families, relationships and work. Knowledge is Power. Transformation In Action CIC 's events with employers and in the community, such as those at Touchwood, aim to change people 's perceptions of the menopause.

"It 's time we change the narrative and make sure menopause matters across the board, so that perimenopause and menopause are a simple, positive, and empowering time in life, a time to thrive, a second spring. ”
