Chapter Edgbaston
What motivated you to join the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce?
We've always been members of the Chamber because it is Birmingham's leading business organisation. It plays a vital role in bringing businesses together, helping organisations stay connected and ensuring the voice of business is represented.
The Chamber provides valuable insight into policy decisions affecting the region and creates opportunities for members to share their views with decision-makers. For us, it's an important channel through which businesses can express their needs and contribute to discussions that shape the local business environment.
How has the Chamber helped you connect with other businesses, clients or other professionals?
The Chamber's networking events have been particularly valuable. While I can't attend every event due to the demands of running a busy restaurant, the events I have attended have been excellent for introducing Chapter Restaurant to new businesses and professional contacts.
We've also benefited from hosting Chamber breakfast events throughout the year. These events bring new people through our doors, many of whom may never have visited Chapter before. They provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase our venue, build relationships and raise awareness of our business among the wider Birmingham business community.
What have you achieved as a result of becoming a member?
One of the most significant benefits has been having direct access to conversations that affect the business community. Through Chamber roundtables, surveys and consultations, we have been able to share our views on business conditions, economic challenges and policy developments.
The Chamber regularly seeks members' opinions on issues such as government budgets and economic trends, ensuring businesses have an opportunity to contribute to important discussions. That connection between businesses and policymakers is incredibly valuable and provides a level of representation that would be difficult to achieve independently.
Why would you recommend the Chamber to other businesses or contacts?
I would encourage any business to make the most of the opportunities Chamber membership offers.
The networking benefits are clear, but there's also immense value in the insights, information and representation the Chamber provides. It's very much a two-way relationship. The Chamber relies on feedback from businesses to inform its work, and in return members gain access to valuable intelligence, support and opportunities to influence decision-making.
The more you engage with the Chamber, the more value you'll gain from being part of the network. It's an excellent way to build connections, stay informed and ensure your business has a voice within the wider business community.
