How has being part of the Chamber FF community supported you as a leader and young professional?
Being part of the Future Faces community means I’m surrounded by ambitious, like‑minded young professionals who genuinely motivate and uplift one another. The support and energy in the community continually inspires me to step into the best version of myself - to be brave, embrace new opportunities, and pursue the most exciting path for my career.
What do you do and what’s your role?
I am a specialist medical negligence solicitor, and my role is to advocate for individuals and their families who have suffered life changing injuries through no fault of their own.
What’s been the most rewarding part of being a female young professional?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a young female professional has been knowing that the work I do can genuinely make a difference. Being in a role where I can help improve patient safety, influence better outcomes, and advocate for those who may not have a voice is incredibly fulfilling. It’s empowering to build my career while contributing to meaningful change, and to see how my perspective (shaped by my experiences as a woman) adds value.
Have you had a moment where you felt particularly proud to represent women in your sector? What happened?
In July 2025, I joined a Future Faces panel discussing how the relationships in our lives shape our professional growth. I spoke openly about the power of independence, setting boundaries, and investing in the relationships that truly help us thrive. I received feedback from women explaining that they felt seen, encouraged, and empowered to prioritise themselves. Knowing that my honesty helped others feel more confident in their own journey was a really meaningful moment, and one that reminded me why representation and authenticity matter so much.
In what ways do you think networks and communities, like the Chamber, matter for women in business?
Networks and communities like the Chamber are incredibly important for women in business because they create spaces where we can truly lift one another up. Being part of a supportive network gives women access to role models, mentors, and peers who understand the challenges we face and who celebrate our successes just as loudly. Communities like this also help women feel confident showing up as their full, authentic selves.
The Chamber has played a huge role in helping me build my confidence and recognise the value of celebrating my achievements. Being named the 2025 GBYPY winner was an incredibly special moment. I am so grateful for the meaningful recognition of the hard work I’ve put into advocating for my clients and championing a more inclusive legal profession - one where everyone feels empowered to show up authentically.
