I met a fellow member at a Solihull networking event who had been considering searching for an artist who could capture the essence of Knowle in a range of merchandise. We quicky arranged a follow-up meeting and I was able to show them a range I had created for Lichfield. It wasn’t long before they were selling my Knowle products online and at events to raise money for Visit Knowle.

I make the most of my membership by attending networking events across the divisions and also joined the Small Business Academy, where I made great connections and friends. Utilising Chamber e-newsletters and also being shortlisted for the 'Lichfield Small Business of the Year Award 2025', has also helped me to gain exposure amongst a massive audience.

I’ve had orders from members of my corporate Christmas cards, but membership has meant far more than that to me – it's helped me to develop my network of connections across the Midlands, gaining advocates and a network of people I can work with.

Being part of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce gives you a sense of belonging to something bigger. As a solopreneur it can be lonely at times and it's great to have the support of your relationship manager to make the most of your membership, as well as other members of the Chamber team who are always so welcoming and inclusive.
