"The Chamber helps businesses build strong networks

"access valuable information and create opportunities for growth across the region."

Lis Lewis-Jones, Director, Liquid

What motivated you to join the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce?

It was important for us to be plugged into the wider business community, and we felt that the Chamber was the best way to achieve that.

Getting to know local businesses and understanding the challenges and opportunities that affect organisations across the region was particularly important. Chamber membership has provided a valuable platform for building those connections and staying engaged with key issues affecting businesses throughout the West Midlands.

How has the Chamber helped you connect with other businesses, clients or other professionals?

The Chamber has been excellent at introducing us to businesses across the region and helping us develop new relationships.

Beyond networking opportunities, the Chamber has also played an important role in representing members' views and advocating on behalf of businesses. Through its engagement with local councils and national government, the Chamber helps ensure that the voices of businesses across the West Midlands are heard on issues that affect the regional economy.

What have you achieved as a result of becoming a member?

One of the key benefits has been gaining a much greater understanding of how the city and wider business community operate.

Being part of the Chamber network has enabled us to engage with a broad range of organisations, learn from other business leaders and better understand the issues affecting businesses across the region. That insight has been invaluable in helping us strengthen our own relationships and identify new opportunities.

Why would you recommend the Chamber to other businesses or contacts?

I would recommend the Chamber because it provides an excellent platform for building connections, generating awareness and creating opportunities.

Whether you're looking to raise your profile, develop new business relationships or connect with organisations that share your values, the Chamber offers a wide range of opportunities to engage with the wider business community.

The more involved you become, the more value you'll gain. For Birmingham Mind, Chamber membership has helped us build lasting partnerships, increase awareness of our services and connect with organisations that are committed to supporting mental health across the region.
