£5,000 grant supports business growth
Staffordshire County Council has joined with all the district and borough councils in Staffordshire to pool resources and offer grants of up to £5,000 in aid of small business growth.
With the pandemic severely impacting many small and medium sized businesses, the grant aims to support businesses so that they can thrive once more.
Whether a business is in need of professional guidance, extra finance or more equipment, the funding of between £2,000 to £5,000 can act as a raft for businesses to rebuild and grow post-pandemic.
The grant has already given many businesses the solid base needed to realise their business 's full potential.
Examples of the support already provided include:
- A small piece of machinery for a steel fabrication company to eliminate the need for outsourcing work thus reducing operation costs
- Video and photography equipment for a supplier of PPE to create a virtual showroom on their website
- A small piece of machinery for a signage manufacture to facilitate diversification of the business and introduce more products
- Website development for a range of different businesses to improve their SEO
- Equipment for a caf� to enable them to offer a wider range of products
- Equipment to help open up new markets for an electrical contractor
- Professional help to get set up in e-commerce
