'Pitch It ' event to unlock opportunities for SMEs

An event designed to help SMEs with training and investment - and unlock £10,000 worth of business resource opportunities - is being hosted by the BritAsia Fund.

The 'Pitch It ' event will seek to provide support for SMEs who have been trading as a limited company for one year or more.

Taking place at Park Regis Birmingham, the two-day event will cover expert-led training opportunities and a chance to pitch before an investors panel including BritAsia Fund 's Tony Shergill, HSBC 's Andy Oates and Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growth Hub director, Ian McLaughlan.

On 22 May, Pitch Fest open with a comprehensive training day featuring pitch deck expert, Zulfikar Ali, who will help businesses develop and refine their action plan ahead of Pitch Day on 29 May.

Pitch Day is where businesses will deliver their five-minute pitch, followed by a two-minute Q&A session.

Throughout Pitch Day, businesses will be divided into groups before taking part in formative workshops, which will be delivered HSBC and Greater Birmingham & Solihull (LEP).

There will also be networking opportunities and the chance to win from the fund 's £10,000 prize pool.
