Solihull Chamber of Commerce held the annual Solihull expo at Cranmore Park.

The exhibition provided a dynamic platform for individuals and organisations to showcase their services while networking with local and regional businesses.

The expo was sponsored by Konsileo Commercial Insurance Brokers and featured 38 exhibiting companies.

Alongside the expo, the Solihull Economic Snapshot offered insights from business and political leaders on the state and progress of Solihull’s economy.

The session brought together a panel of business leaders to share insights on the local economy followed by a Q&A with the audience.

The discussion covered a range of topics, including support for start-ups, skills development and the importance of strengthening connections between education and employment.

Neurodiversity was highlighted as a key theme with conversation focusing on how employers can build confidence in recruiting and supporting individuals with additional needs.

Sheila Edwards, from the charity Birmingham LGBT, said: “The event for me is about making contacts to encourage corporate support for the charity.

“Being neurodivergent myself it’s so important that it’s recognised in the workplace because it makes a massive difference.”

The Solihull AGM also took place at Cranmore Park, with Emma Louise-Hewitt continuing as president for a second year running.

Louise Dunn of The Recruitment Duo and Steve Whitmarsh of runyourfleet were elected as vice-presidents, joining existing vice-president Kim Hulse.
