A Different Thread returns to the Hub at St Mary’s
British-American troubadours A Different Thread are back in Lichfield in July to deliver a range of their award winning songs, weaving Celtic balladry with Appalachian blues.
They will be performing at The Hub at St Mary’s on 24 May.
Following in the footsteps of Johnny Cash and June Carter, and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, A Different Thread have earned acclaim for their powerful storytelling and rousing live performances.
Lead singers Robert Jackson from Lichfield and Alicia Best from North Carolina have also garnered support slots with the likes of The Milk Carton Kids, Native Harrow and Jody Stephens (Big Star), as well as features with NPR and the BBC.
The event will also feature exclusive physical pre-release copies of the upcoming album, Over Again.
The album features eleven songs, an ode to new beginnings and working towards a brighter future.
Robert Jackson from A Different Thread said: “These new songs are symbolic of a period of profound change. They are stories of hope, where endings give way to new beginnings and light emerges from darkness.
“It's been a long time since I cut my teeth busking in Lichfield but every time we come back, it feels like just yesterday. We can't wait to reconnect and share this new music with you.”
Tickets for the show cost £16, available online or at The Hub
