A Level pass rates on the up at Sutton Coldfield College
BMet students are joining thousands across the country in celebrating their A Level, T Level and vocational results – with the picture one of continued progress and achievement.
The college says early analysis shows a notable improvement in vocational outcomes, with the overall pass rate for Level 3 courses rising to 93 per cent, up from 92 per cent last year.
Certificate and diploma pass rates have also improved to 87 per cent and 97 per cent respectively.
This year also marks the release of BMet’s first-ever T Level results, with a strong overall pass rate of 91per cent across the new technical qualifications, a promising start for the college’s newest offer.
In A Levels, students at BMet Sutton Coldfield College have again demonstrated resilience and dedication.
Over one in five grades (22 per cent) awarded were at A* to B (an increase of 7 per cent on last year).
Overall, at Sutton Coldfield College pass rates were on the up with an overall pass rate of 92 per cent, an increase of 3 per cent on last year.
Deputy principal Anna Jackson said: “We’re incredibly proud of our students and the upward trend we’re seeing in results year-on-year. These achievements are a testament to the effort our learners have put in, and to the dedication of our teaching and support teams.
“For any students whether you studied at BMet or not who didn’t quite get the grades they hoped for, we want you to know that there are still plenty of options available. From university-level courses to professional qualifications and apprenticeships, we’re here to help you explore your next steps.”
For the second year running, BMet marked results day with a mini celebration festival at Sutton Coldfield College open to students from across all three campuses - Matthew Boulton College, James Watt College and Sutton Coldfield College.
The event provided a fun and supportive space for students to come together, celebrate achievements, and access on-the-day advice and guidance.
