Acclaimed saxophonist to perform at Lichfield venue

Saxophonist Julian Smith - whose 30-year career has included regular appearances at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s – is taking to the stage at Lichfield venue The Hub at St Mary’s next month.

Since reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, career highlights have been performing for HRH King Charles, duetting with Kenny G at the Royal Albert Hall and touring the UK.

Julian (pictured) has previously recorded seven albums and has just released his eighth album, ‘Being with You’.

He has also recorded duets with the late great Acker Bilk, Dina Carroll and Blake.

Performing with Ian Palmer (drums) and Kris Chase-Byrne (keys), this Hub performance will include Light Classical, Smooth Jazz, Latin, Pop and vocal tracks.

The Hub creative director, Anthony Evans, said: “With Julian’s wide-ranging set list there’ll be a little something for all you saxophone fans. Book your tickets – while you can!”

Tickets for the show on Friday 21 March cost £18 and are available online or in person from the venue.
