Alexander Accountancy is hosting a crazy golf day tomorrow in support of Burton YMCA.

The YMCA is one of the firm 's key local charities and it relies entirely on public support for funding its work.

In its fundraising efforts, the accountancy hopes to support Burton YMCA in its mission provide homes and support to as many people as possible who are experiencing times of crisis.

The competition is open to teams of four at £130 and will include a welcome drink, 18 holes of crazy golf on the Branston Woodland Adventure crazy golf course, and conclude with a buffet and drinks, with presentations to the best teams and individuals.

Burton YMCA has three sites in Burton on Trent that can house up to 71 individuals. It also has winter sheltering for those on the street and help vulnerable people find permanent housing solutions.

It also offers mentoring, counselling and education in an all-inclusive environment that can help people re-establish themselves in society and the workplace.

In 2021, Burton YMCA 's food bank gave out nearly 25,000 meals.

David Alexander, director at Alexander Accountancy said: “We are all aware that we are going through some tough times at the moment due to unprecedented political and financial pressures, the like of which we have not seen for decades, and may have never seen in their lifetimes. We are aware things are likely to get worse before they get better.

“Organisations such as Burton YMCA are on the frontline of trying to help the least fortunate in our society, and we believe it is the right thing to try and help as part of our corporate social responsibility.

“The YMCA 's projects take considerable funding and hard work from the charity 's dedicated and friendly team. So please help us support them to support our community. ”

Businesses and individuals wanting to support Burton YMCA can also donate £50 to sponsor a hole or make a private donation by contacting [email protected]
