Accountancy group nominated in Children’s Hospital’s 100 Heroes Awards
Prime Accountants Group has been nominated for Corporate Supporter of the Year at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH) 100 Heroes Awards.
The nomination places Prime among a select group of individuals and organisations recognised for going above and beyond to support the seriously ill children and their families at BCH.
The winner will be announced at the 100 Heroes Awards ceremony on 22 March 2026, which members of the Prime team will attend.
Prime has raised more than £112,000 for the charity over the years through a series of impressive and ambitious team challenges and continues to support key hospital services, including sponsoring the stem cell transplant ward.
One of their most recent efforts included a gruelling 24-hour endurance event in which the team climbed 61,950 metres on treadmills, the equivalent of seven times the height of Mount Everest.
The independent accountancy firm originally set its fundraising target at £19,000, but the enthusiastic backing of clients and the wider community saw the final total climb to £30,000.
Several members of the Prime team have also given their time to hospital-led initiatives, from joining craft sessions with young patients to pulling on their best festive costumes and welcoming families into Santa’s Grotto, creating moments of comfort and joy for children undergoing treatment.
Jamie Skelding, director at Prime Accountants Group, said: “What wonderful news that we have been nominated as Corporate Supporter of the Year. On behalf of everyone here at Prime, I can say we are genuinely honoured by this recognition.
“Our work with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity is something we are incredibly proud of. Of course, because of the amount of money we have raised for them so they can continue treating sick children, but also because we have met families who are going through unimaginable tough times and supporting them has become personal to many of us.
“When you see the courage of the children and the strength of their families, it stays with you, and we couldn’t be happier to do everything we can to make their experience in the hospital a little lighter.”
