Accountants launch platform to make finances simple
Walsall based accountants Unico 3 have taken a huge step towards helping start-ups and small businesses create a solid foundation.
Unico 3 have launched their new membership platform, Accounting For Growth, aimed at breaking down the jargon of the accounting world, and giving businesses access to services that may usually be beyond them.
Managing director, Rebecca Dean, said: “We know that for start-ups and small businesses to succeed, they need to have a good understanding of their finances. The problem is some accountants charge a lot of money to educate their clients on what needs to be done.
“What we're doing is breaking that barrier down, giving people the ability access knowledge, expertise and even ask their questions to an accountant without the fear of unknown or hidden fees.”
Whilst it's an unusual step for an accountancy practice to take, Unico 3 are hoping that other accountants follow in their footsteps, openly sharing information to support businesses to understand and use their accounting information.
Jane Barker, finance director at Unico 3 added: “The main reason that most new companies fail is they don't understand the financial aspect of the business. You start a business because you're excellent at what you do and want to help people.
“No one tells people what the rules and regulations are. If more people know this, there will be more successful businesses, something everyone wants. The best people to pass this knowledge on are accountants, so hopefully other accountants will start making this knowledge more accessible”.
By taking this first step, Unico 3 are launching their online subscription, with everything in one place, accessible, affordable and continually updated. A step which can only help companies put the foundations in place to be successful and grow, using their accounts as a strategic business tool.
