Adoption charities launch new guide exploring ‘early permanence’ as a route to parenthood
Midlands-based adoption charity Adoption Focus alongside other Voluntary Adoption Agencies (VAAs) across the UK have collaborated to produce and launch an advice guide exploring early permanence as a route to parenthood.
Early permanence, sometimes referred to as fostering for adoption, allows prospective adopters to care for a child from the earliest time possible, offering them stability and continuity while decisions are made about the child’s future within the family court process.
The advice guide is designed for prospective adopters, and features first-hand testimonies shared by adopters who have been Early Permanence carers.
These give valuable insight into the challenges, emotions and rewards of welcoming a child into their homes at such a crucial stage.
