Adoption team take part in Birmingham Pride Parade 2025
A team from Adoption Focus recently took part in the Birmingham Pride Parade, a key part of the wider Birmingham Pride weekend.
Starting in Centenary Square, taking in the whole of the city centre, and finishing in the LGBTQ+ Village, thousands of people took part in the parade to march for equality and justice for LGBTQ+ people around the world.
They were joined by thousands of spectators lining the streets and joining in this important celebration of diversity and LGBTQ+ life.
The Adoption Focus delegation was made up of members of the staff team. Walking with a banner featuring their specially commissioned LGBTQ+ logo, the Adoption Focus party gave out hundreds of stickers to spectators while dancing and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Adoption Focus director of Business Development, Jo Lee, said: “It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to take part in Birmingham Pride 2025. We had such a fantastic time. It’s also important for us as an agency to show our support and gratitude to the LGBTQ+ community and our LGBTQ+ adopters in particular, who provide so many loving homes for the children we place.
“As an agency, we recognise and appreciate the challenges that LGBTQ+ people face and the emotional resilience and determination it takes to overcome them. These are attributes that we look for in all our adopters.”
