Affiliate programme generates free donations to Chamber charity

Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce 's nominated charity of the year, the UK Sepsis Trust (UKST), are encouraging local businesses to support them for free this Christmas - by using an affiliate programme to generate donations.

The charity aims to end preventable deaths from sepsis, a condition that 245,000 in the UK suffer from annually and where approximately 48,000 of those die each year.

UKST was founded in Sutton Coldfield in 2012 by Dr Ron Daniels, an intensive care consultant at Good Hope Hospital, and the resources they have developed have been used in hospitals across 48 countries to date, to save preventable deaths from sepsis.

To support the charity in the lead-up to Christmas, businesses are being encouraged to use Lichfield-based shopping affiliate programme easyfundraising to generate donations for free.

Brian Davies, fundraising manager at UKST, explains: “We 're not challenging you to run a marathon, to find time in your busy schedules, or even to dip into your own pockets.

“Instead, we just ask that if you plan to buy even one thing online over the next few months you watch this short video and consider registering for free on easyfundraising. ”

More than 7,000 retailers and business suppliers have each committed to donate a small percentage of whatever users of easyfundraising spend online with them - without it costing the user a penny more.

This includes purchases on gifts, groceries, electronics, office supplies or even travel and hotels.

More than £42,000,000 has been raised by users of easyfundraising so far and all users need to do is take two to three minutes to register via this link.
