Air ambulance charity becomes Future Faces patron

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has become a patron of Future Faces Chamber of Commerce.

The charity has been a member of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) for more than 10 years and is also a member of the Lichfield & Tamworth and Asian Business Chambers of Commerce (ABCC).

The charity were was also crowned Charity of the Year and Overall ABCC Business of the Year 2020.

Operating for more than three decades, the MAAC operates and funds three air ambulances covering six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

In addition, the service operates two critical care cars in Birmingham & Black Country and separately, Worcestershire.

The charity has responded to 63,000 incidents in remote locations, including cardiac arrests, road traffic collisions and sports injuries, and are is dedicated to providing patients with outstanding pre-hospital care and life saving intervention through enhanced clinical skillset and advanced medicines and equipment.

The charity 's decision to join the young professionals ' Chamber as a patron is part of its plan to invest further in the future talent across Greater Birmingham.

Pam Hodgetts, corporate partnerships manager for MAAC, said: “As a charity, we value the benefits of being part of the GBCC, becoming a patron of Future Faces will not only allow us to deepen our relationship with the business community but it will also help us fulfil our commitment to developing the skills of our talented workforce.

“As part of our own corporate social responsibility, we boast a National Curriculum-based education programme allowing us to work closely with schools across the six counties we serve, providing CPR and bleed control training, careers talk 's and Key Stage learning resources.

“As a patron, we will work collaboratively with Future Faces on projects that will help extend that support to the regions rising stars. ”
