Air purification specialists support DIY SOS Children in Need Big Build 2025
The Shepherd Group were invited to support the 2025 DIY SOS Children in Need Big Build.
In doing so they, contributed to the transformation of The Joshua Tree, a charity dedicated to improving the emotional health and wellbeing of families affected by childhood cancers across North West England and North Wales.
The episode is due to air on BBC One on Thursday, 13 November.
Company director Debbie Shepherd said: “I feel so honoured and privileged to have been part of such a special project, it has been an amazing experience.
“I am immensely proud of all the volunteers I worked alongside on site and would recommend volunteering with DIY SOS to anyone, as the families they support are truly inspirational.”
The Shepherd Group, specialists in creating cleaner, healthier, and safer indoor environments, donated and installed 11 advanced air purifiers within the charity’s new two-storey extension, built by over 250 dedicated volunteers.
These state-of-the-art air purifiers use HEPA filtration and UV-C technology to capture and neutralise airborne pollutants such as dust, mould spores, pollen, and pet dander, while also helping to reduce bacteria, viruses, and other microbes.
By continuously filtering and circulating indoor air, the systems create a cleaner and safer space, an essential factor for children with compromised immune systems.
Debbie and her team ensured that the newly refurbished spaces at The Joshua Tree not only look welcoming but also provide a healthier environment for the families and children who rely on the charity’s support.
