Animation company secures investment to accelerate growth
Second Home Studios, Birmingham’s award-winning animation company, has announced it has secured a significant investment from Founders Faculty, the UK’s exclusive network of hands-on angel investors and mentors.
Founded in the heart of Birmingham, Second Home Studios has built a national reputation for delivering visually stunning and emotionally resonant animation for TV, film, and commercial clients.
The studio’s portfolio features BAFTA and RTS-winning/nominated projects and collaborations with some of the world’s most recognised brands. Their recent standout success, Tweedy and Fluff, is the first stop-motion TV show to come from the city.
This strategic investment marks a new chapter for Second Home Studios, enabling the company to scale its capabilities, invest in new talent, and continue to pioneer innovative IP and storytelling techniques.
The partnership with Founders Faculty brings not only financial support but also invaluable mentorship and access to a powerful network of experienced founders and investors.
Chris Randall, founder of Second Home Studios, commented: "We’re thrilled to partner with Founders Faculty, whose belief in our vision and commitment to founder-first support will help us accelerate our capabilities. This investment is about more than capital, it’s about joining a community that champions creativity, collaboration, and bold ideas. We’re excited for what’s ahead."
Rasim, founder of Founders Faculty, added: "Second Home Studios represents the kind of exceptional talent and ambition we look for. We’re excited to support their next stage and help bring more ground-breaking animation to audiences everywhere."
Second Home Studios remains deeply committed to Birmingham’s creative community and will use the investment to expand its team, explore new creative frontiers, and deliver even more outstanding animation projects.
