IM Properties (IMP) has boosted its commercial development team with the appointment of Daniel Rudd as development manager.

Joining from global commercial real estate advisory firm Newmark, Dan will support the delivery of IM Properties’ current project portfolio and future joint ventures, as the business continues its ambitious growth plans across the industrial and logistics sector.

Dan is already well known to the team, having worked alongside IM Properties in 2023 while at Savills, acting agency-side on the successful Connexion scheme at Blythe Valley Park, where market leading rents were achieved.

He said: “I always thought about moving into the development world eventually, however when an opportunity to work at IM Properties came along, it was too good an opportunity not to take the step now.

“The company is highly regarded, constantly evolving and pushing the envelope with an incredibly exciting development pipeline looking to deliver industry benchmarks in innovation, sustainability and community impact.

“It’s a journey that promises to be very rewarding, with the chance to learn from some leading professionals while shaping schemes which look to deliver significant opportunity for regional growth.”

IM Properties’ commercial development land bank now exceeds 1100 acres, capable of delivering 13m sq ft of space with a Gross Development Value of £2 billion.

Dan’s appointment comes as IM Properties progresses several major developments across the Midlands, including proposals for Thrive, a £343 million forward thinking employment park in North Warwickshire, which could deliver up to 6,000 full time jobs across advanced manufacturing, R&D, and logistics sectors.

A graduate of Birmingham City University’s Real Estate programme, Dan began his career on the Lambert Smith Hampton graduate scheme. Having lived and worked around Birmingham he brings both local knowledge and a strong regional perspective to his new position.

Kevin Ashfield, UK development director, IM Properties said: “Dan’s is a great fit for the team. He already understands how we work, has a solid background in industrial agency and his professionalism, passion and eye for detail will continue to help set us apart as he plays an important part in helping us deliver on our development ambitions.”
