Apprentice turned director reflects on ‘proud moment’ after winning Chamber’s SLTC young professional award
A young apprentice turned director has been named young professional of the year at the Chamber’s annual SLTC awards.
The awards celebrate local business excellence across Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, Tamworth and Cannock Chase.
Lewis Lydiard, service delivery director at Techcare Limited, began his career with the company as a 16-year-old apprentice and has since progressed through the ranks to a senior leadership role.
Speaking about the award, Lewis said: “Being awarded the SLTC Young Professional of the Year this year is a really proud moment for me. It truly reflects the journey I've been on, and the support I've had along the way.
“Over the last 10 years I've worked across pretty much all aspects of the company, which has given me a thorough understanding of how we run, how the team works, and what our clients need from us in the day-to-day.
“All this experience shapes how I lead now. Hands on and focused on doing the right thing for our clients and Techcare’s people.
“I’ll keep using what I’ve learned to push the standards across the team and keep driving things forward.”
